Olympic Weightlifting in short
Olympic weightlifting consists of two parts. The first part is lifting a barbell in one smooth movement above the head (snatch). In the second part, you lift the barbell to the shoulders and then jerk it out to full extension above the head (clean & jerk). During (inter)national competitions, the athlete has three attempts for each exercise to lift a weight as heavy as possible. The summation the best good attempts of each is your olympic total. This course covers the skills in partial and integrated movements. An estimated time expenditure of the whole course including the training time is between 20 till 40 hours.
